The h2g2 Poem

1 Conversation

Sat here waiting for the call,

They say we're heroes one and all,

To save a life we wait in line,

It only takes a little time.

Then I'm called up, and I lay down,

The needle goes in, not a frown,

And pretty soon the job is done,

I've given blood to help someone.

I wouldn't say I'm hero stuff,

I've done my bit, and that's enough.
