Europeans: how old is Valentine's Day as a mushy holiday?
In the US, apparently, pretty old. If you look carefully at the corner of this picture, you'll see the date: 1861. People were already making the postman work back then, conveying their flowery greetings.
Okay, we know he didn't have any Victoria's Secret catalogues in that bag. Victoria kept her secrets back then.
