If you're reading this I am worried about you.
I am a doctor on the edge.
In the NHS no one can hear you scream.
Not only that, but it turns out that my life has been based
on false assumptions.
I was brought up to believe that the following famous celebrities are deceased:
1) Evil Keneavel, however you spell that, who, I was told, died
trying to jump the grand canyon in the 1970s. Imagine my
surprise when I read a recent interview with Mr Keneavel
in a magazine.
2) Richard O'Brien. I'm sure I read in the Daily Mail in
1992 that he'd been tragically killed in a bike crash.
I was gutted. Incidentally, I think The Crystal Maze is
by far his best work.
3) Danny Devito. I was sure he perished shortly after they
axed the TV series, 'TAXI.' I was stunned when he reappeared
several years later on Top of the Pops, pretending to play
saxaphone on a Billy Ocean Video. So would you be.
And to top it all, I've grown up believing fervently that the
lead guitarist of The Shadows, Hank Marvin, is a spitting
image of BBC snooker commentator David Vine. But when I turned
the TV on earlier this afternoon and David Vine was sitting
there in his eternal role as introducer of the World Snooker Championship, I realised that they're not that similar after all.
I'm totally confused
