Gandalf (Still Redundant!)
If this works OK,this will be my intro.
I am a chap, just approaching 50 years old (but not quite!)
I live in Preston, Lancashire, UK and have done so all my life, apart from the twelve years when I wore a blue suit (NO, not Prison blue, but the blue of the Royal Air Force!!!!)
During that time, I was posted (sent sideways) around the UK a number of times, and these postings affected my life in different ways.
When I was posted to the Shetland Isles, I developed an interest in birdlife - not many people can successfully claim to have seen a Black Browed Albatross north of the equator - I can!!
**Update** Damn, damn, damn.................A sub-adult Black Browed spotted off Channel Isles (August Birdwatching) in June 2000.
When in London (West Drayton) I learned to appreciate Sci-Fi, thanks to a wonderful bookshop (now unfortunately closed) called 'Dark they were and Golden Eyed'
In Norfolk (Coltishall) I learned to appreciate the finer qualities of Real Ale (Hic)
Now I am civilian again, I have mellowed, and prefer to read to the accompianament(??) of a glass or three of Islay Malt Whisky, preferably the Ardbeg.
So, that is me. You will find I have varied interests and will comment on almost anything.
Like Gandalf, I will poke my nose into anyones business!!!!!!
