Dantooine is a verdant planet planet with rolling grass lands surrounded by clear blue seas. Its position in the galaxy means that it is far removed from the trade routes and the hurried nature of Republican life.
The planet is home to many species of animals, although the main focus of these is on livestock which roam the plains of Dantooine. These plains lie seperated by large clumps of thick woodland, and the nature of Dantooine is kept closely in check by the planets lowly 2 million colonists. The planet has one major space port, which handles nearly all the planets arrivals and trade.
Dantooines most prominant feature is that it is home to a Jedi Academy. Whilst the academy of Dantooine doesnt have the man power or the influence of the academy on Coruscant, it offers Dantooine a level of protection in that galaxy that few other planets can boast.
