The Circle

Part of the h2g2 Theatre.
The two entrances to this space are on opposite sides at the very top which, combined with the sheer lack of light (save on the floor below) gives the impression of being in some kind of pit.
In this circular space, aisles lead down the ranks of seating to the circular stage - a floor level with the lowest tier of seats.
This is the chamber for raw theatre - The Circle makes minimal use of properties and costumes*, working as much as possible through the actor alone to create illusions* within the minds of the audience. Lighting is also kept to a minimum; ideally a dim general wash, although there are the options of spots and red gels should the production really call for it.
