Worker applying logo to new high speed train in Vermont, 1999

The 20th Century, wasn't it quaint? Why, some people didn't even ride around in hovercars. They took the train.

This worker is applying the logo to a new Amtrak train in Vermont in 1999. Seems like only yesterday, instead of last century.

Thanks to Carol M Highsmith and the Library of Congress for this time-travel moment.
